Kitchen

Cooking for my family is one of my greatest joys, and we love exploring flavors from all around the world—whether it's Mexican, Korean, Japanese, or the Russian dishes we grew up with. That said, I almost never follow a recipe to the letter. I love to improvise, adjusting flavors and ingredients to suit our tastes.

So, if you try one of my recipes, keep in mind that it may not always be entirely traditional or authentic. Instead, it's my personal take, shaped by what my family enjoys.

But my love for cooking goes beyond everyday meals. I've always been fascinated by the past, especially how people lived, cooked, and gathered around the table. From recreating recipes found in historical cookbooks to discovering dishes inspired by different eras, I hope to bring a little taste of history into my kitchen and share those experiences with you.

Our Orthodox faith also influences the way we cook, particularly through the rhythm of the Church's fasting seasons. Here, you'll find recipes and meal ideas for fasting days and seasons, alongside the everyday dishes and special treats we enjoy throughout the year.

Whether you're looking for something new to try, a familiar comfort food, a glimpse into the kitchens of the past, or inspiration for a fasting meal, I hope you'll find something here that sparks your curiosity.

Most of all, I hope you feel encouraged to experiment and tweak recipes to your own liking. After all, food should be a reflection of you! Life's too short not to eat great food, and sometimes the simplest meals are the most satisfying.

Feel free to leave suggestions and comments—I'd love to hear from you!

Happy Cooking!
